Good evening. This is Kozue, a beauty acupuncturist. The other day, I went to Gifu to attend a course for the first time in a while. Since I was staying near Gifu Station, I looked for dinner near the station and found a restaurant that caught my eye. This time, I used the original Taiwanese Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot). The inside of the restaurant has the atmosphere of an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), with a handwritten menu and a very cheerful atmosphere. This time, I ordered Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot), two servings of motsu nabe, fried cartilage, and heart sashimi. Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) comes in salty and soy sauce flavors, and you can add toppings from the beginning. We chose soy sauce flavor, no toppings, and medium spiciness. Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) is topped with lots of chives, minced meat, and sliced chili peppers. This is normal spiciness, so it seems to be quite spicy. The staff will cook the hot pot right in front of you over the course of a day until it's ready to eat. The spiciness of chili peppers is quite effective, but chives, bean sprouts, and minced meat are also delicious. The soup had a sweet taste, just the way I like it. After I finished eating everything, I added some noodles and ate it. After that, we also had rice porridge. The fried cartilage has a nice crunchy texture, and since it's fried crispy, it's not greasy, and the squeeze of lemon makes it even more refreshing. Heart sashimi has more elasticity than liver, but it is full of flavor, filling, and delicious. The food is relatively reasonable, but some menu items, such as the rice porridge, are a bit pricey. I think the food is delicious. The customer service from the staff was also very good. The Taiwanese-style Motsu-nabe (Offal hotpot) was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness.
