秋の高山祭2日目。先ほどまで、からくり人形を見学。帰りがけにはいたる処で。各町内会の自慢の山車が。非常に美しい。実は小さい頃からの夢だった。高山祭は小京都と言われる。その高山の華とも言える象徴。壮麗な山車と町々を彩る飾り。
そして次のお楽しみは酒造巡り。良質な水と米。それに寒冷な気候に恵まれ。古くから地酒造りが盛んな土地。昼間から堂々と銘酒の試飲。それもハシゴがふんだんに。楽しめる。なんという嬉しい土地、観光地だ。
老田酒造店は1720年代に創業。農閑期にあたる冬に。酒造りをしていたが。「鬼を殺すような」とまで言われる。美味しい辛口の酒で有名に。飛騨の老田の鬼ころし。淡麗辛口で美味いと評判になり。元祖とまで言われるほどに。
清見に醸造場の清見蔵。そして市内、古い町並みに。この直営の上三之町店。1868年（明治元年）に建築された町屋を改装。実は5つの蔵と酒とカフェをテーマに。カフェ、地酒店、駄菓子屋などが。集まる蔵小路という施設。文字通り蔵を改装したような。
老田酒造店はオーナーで地酒店。もちろん、鬼ころしの試飲を。手造りの蔵人の技術、伝統より。受け継ぐこだわりを注ぎ。丹精込めて仕込む酒。辛口とは言え端正。日本酒の旨みも上品に。まさに淡麗辛口そのもの。さすが元祖の風格。
