This is a travel romance that brought me to Maebashi during my trip to Yamanashi and Kanto in the summer of 2023. Seventh day of the journey. This is my first time staying in Maebashi. The hotel I chose was Hotel Sankant in Honmachi. It takes about 15 minutes on foot from the north exit of JR Maebashi Station. Kiwabiya is located on the 1st floor of Hotel Sankanto. I happened to search for Sake Bars and found it. There is an all-you-can-drink plan for course meals. First visit with advance reservation at 7pm. It's located on the first floor of the hotel you're staying at, so it's easily accessible. There are counter seats in the dimly lit store. The only other customer was a woman who seemed to be a regular customer. We will have the omakase kaiseki course for 4,000 yen (tax selection) that we ordered when we made the reservation over the phone. For an additional 2,000 yen, you can also get 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink. Even if you drink too much and get all drunk, you don't have to worry about the hotel room being on top (lol) [b: [selection Kaiseki course] 4,000 yen including tax] [b:◇ Appetizer Cold pasta with plum and whitebait] [b:◇ Go Bowl: Chilled soup with raw yuba and pumpkin] [b:◇ Remade octopus and tomato in orange marinade] [b:◇ Grilled dish: Steamed chicken and figs in white sesame cream sauce] [b:◇ Fried dish: Fried cutlassfish and eggplant with rice flour Grated yuzu ponzu sauce] [b:◇ Meal Grilled eel with edamame rice soup] [b:◆ 90 minutes all-you-can-drink (34 types)... 2000 yen (tax included)] There are only two male and female staff members. It doesn't seem to cater to large numbers of customers. First, let's have a bottle of beer. Kirin Ichiban Shibori. The first thing that came out was cold pasta with plums and whitebait. Not good as a substitute for appetizers. It can't be helped because it's a course. Next up was cold soup. I left the beer empty. The orange-marinated octopus and tomato is Vinegared dish dish with just the octopus, so it finally goes well with sake. There are a total of nine types of Japanese sake, including local sake from various regions. [b:◇ Hakuin Masamune Junmai Sake Kimotofuji 04BY (Shizuoka)] [b:◇ Nabeshima summer moon (Saga)] [b:◇ Kito KID Junmai Ginjoshu (Wakayama)] [b:◇ Shiharitsuru Jun Jun Rice Ginjo Sake (Niigata)] [b:◇ Matsumoto Sawaya Shuhari Junmai Gohyakumangoku (Kyoto)] [b:◇ Yamamoto Doshin Junmai Sexy Yamamoto Yeast (Akita)] [b:◇ Jun Bandaiyama Rice Sake (Fukushima)] [b:◇ Kikuizumi Ginkan Ginjo (Aomori)] [b:◇ Hidakami Super Dry Junmai Sake (Miyagi)] According to the results, I completed all 9 types. Only the Hakuin Masamune can be enjoyed hot, and the other eight varieties are cold and cost around 600 yen. A little over five in total. Most of the brands I've tried are ones I've tried before, but there are also many seasonal sakes such as Nabeshima's Summer Moon, sparkling slightly carbonated sakes, and my favorite dry sakes.I was impressed by how well they choose local sakes. . Unfortunately, there was no sake from Gunma or Tochigi. After that, we continued with steamed chicken and figs in white sesame cream sauce, fried cutlass fish and eggplant in rice flour, grated yuzu and ponzu sauce, and finished with grilled eel with edamame rice and fu soup. Most of the dishes were Western-style rather than Japanese-style, but instead of the dishes coming out one after another, they wait until you're about to finish eating before serving them. It was great to be able to enjoy conversations with regular female customers and female staff. I made it to my room safely (lol) It's a feast.
