Monday, June 13th, 2022, 7:40pm Today I got home around 2:30pm and fell asleep with my dog. When I woke up it was past 7pm and I was hungry so I came to Tori Komachi Furuichi in Furuichicho, Maebashi City. My first choice was Keiantei, also in Furuichicho, but it was closed, probably due to a temporary closure, so I came to this place diagonally across the street. Both of these restaurants were ones I had been called to when I was a designated driver. I entered the restaurant and was shown to a counter seat and looked at the menu. Appetizer (eggplant) 200 yen Chilled tomato 385 yen Chicken fillet with plum and shiso 176 yen Chicken fillet with wasabi 176 yen Negima 198 yen Knee cartilage 165 yen Yakitori (small meat) 143 yen Bonbochi 143 yen Chicken skin 143 yen Quail egg 143 yen Additional Tsukune with secret sauce skewer 165 yen Chicken fillet with yuzu pepper 198 yen Chicken fillet with plum and shiso 198 yen Total of 2453 yen ordered. The eggplant appetizer tastes like matsutake mushroom! The chilled tomato is sweet and delicious! The onion slices and olive oil are a perfect match! And the chicken fillet with plum and shiso skewer and chicken fillet with wasabi skewer are delicious! The chicken fillet with plum and shiso skewer is especially delicious! Next, I tried the negima, knee cartilage, and yakitori (small meat)... this one was salty! Maybe because it was slowly grilled over charcoal, it had a great texture and was delicious. Next, I tried the bonbochi and skin... this one was sauce flavored! Maybe because it was grilled right in front of me and served to me so I could eat it right away, it was delicious as expected. Well, the quail eggs were just average! Usually I would have left at this point, but the yakitori was so delicious that I ordered some more. Next, I had three skewers of meatballs! The chicken fillet, plum and shiso skewers were superb! Wow, I'm very satisfied! Delicious❗️ Thank you for the meal.
