今日は高崎市役所最上階のレストランへ。
以前は高崎で仕事をしていた時にはよく来た庁舎だけど多分15年以上は来ていない。
ここのレストランも初めて。
同伴者は何度か来たことがあるそうでワイン会などの会場でも使ってるらしい。
久しぶりの地下駐車場から一気に最上階へ昇る。
新築の時に比べるとやっぱり少々古びた感じになっている。
駐車場からエレベーターホールに行く間にある食堂に坦々麺480円とある。
今時の価格ではないなと思うと同時にこういうパブリックな建物の中にあるお店って何か価格的な制限とか規制とかあるのかなと感じた。
21階まで上がると展望台があるがコロナ禍の中それほど人はいない。
店に入りしばし待つと席に案内される。
窓際の夜景が見える席だがやっぱり夜景は寂しい。
師走とはいえそれほど車も走ってないみたいだ。
コースで頼んでいるのでフードメニューはなくドリンクのみ注文するようだ。
始めにビールを頼むことがやっぱり多いのだがたまにはワインでも頼みたい。
しかし飲むのは私一人。
ボトルを頼むと一本開けなくてはいけない。
残して持って帰るなんていうのはやめておきたい。
飲むなら1本だ。
熟考した結果白ワインとした。
今日のコースは3つ案内されたコースの中間のもの。
お手頃なコースはメイン一品でそれでは物足りない。
もう一つのはパスタが一皿入るそうだがそこまでいらないかなと思い5100円というコースにした。
しかし電話でコース確認された時にコースが3種類で3500円のショートコースと5100円のフルコースと2人で14000円(うろ覚え)のがあると言われたのだがそれでどれにしますかと言うのはちょっと選ぶには情報不足だろうと感じる。
お店によってコース料理は違うのだから金額だけで選ばせずメニューを言って欲しい。
何が違うんですかと聞けばきちんと答えてくれるのだからできるはず。説明するのに何十秒かの時間はかかるかもしれないが。
前菜の前になんだかふわふわした食べ物が出てきた。
なんて言うものかよくわからなく、あまり味の感想が出てこない。
その後は前菜。鴨肉とのことだが脂はあまり感じない。
鴨の脂はけっこう重たいからこの段階では抜いてあるのはありがたい。
続いて地元高崎産のカボチャのスープ。
合わせてパンが出てくるのできっちり掬い取って頂いた。
このあたりはやっぱりコース食ってる感があり気分も良い。
その後に魚、肉と来るわけだがすでに結構な酔い加減だ。
やっぱりパスタなしで正解のようだ。
肉は上州牛のランプ肉だったけな？
すっかり記憶があやしくなっている。
最後にデザートとなるがもう珈琲を飲む余力はない。
なんとか1本飲み干して家路につく。
次は欲張らずハウスワインをグラスにしておこう。
