新潟旅行、関越をひた走りそろそろ昼飯、上越国境を越えるとしばらく飯は食えない、となると赤城高原が最後。13:30頃到着。平日ですがコロナ明けで前回と比べると人の数が全然違います。
新潟に着いたら魚だろうということでやはりここは肉。少し高いですが豚丼にしました。ここは食券購入とともにオーダーが入るタイプのフードコート。高速のSAではお馴染みのROYALが経営するフードコートです。
7〜8分ほどで提供。薄めの豚バラ肉が花のように12枚ほど。炭火で焼いているのかかなり香ばしく香り高いです。中央には大量の白髪ネギが乗り、脂っぽさはこれで中和されている模様。味噌汁と柴漬けがついています。豚丼といえば帯広を想像してしまうだけに肉の厚さに物足りなさは感じるものの、香ばしさがカバーしてくれます。ボリュームはなかなか。ごちそうさまでした。
