Johnny's Karaage first opened in Hiroshima at the Hatchobori branch, but the reviews there were so bad that I didn't think to try it. Next, the Mukayo Ekimae store opened, and since the first word of mouth caught my eye, I passed on this one as well. The next store that opened was Johnny's Karaage Fuji Grand Hiroshima store.I come to this Fuji Grand store for shopping, so I went to the front of the store to check it out. The menu photo looks delicious, and the customers are lining up. Isn't this place delicious? I decided to ignore the reviews of the Hatchobori store and trust my instincts when purchasing. The menu included single fried chicken, drink, fried chicken, and potato set, fried Bento (boxed lunch), side menu, and drink. When it comes to fried chicken, I prefer thigh meat, but I chose the breast meat Bento (boxed lunch), which was the most popular dish. There are three sizes, S, M, and L, depending on the number of fried chicken pieces, and I ordered the M size, which includes 5 fried chicken pieces. After paying, you will be given a voucher with the completion time written on it, which was 10 minutes later. I took advantage of this waiting time and went to Mister Donuts to buy Donuts. When I came back, I handed over the voucher and received the breast meat Bento (boxed lunch) M at just the right time. I went home and tried eating it. It's still warm, and the breast meat is so juicy that the juices overflow when you bite into it. The seasoning is just right and it's light but delicious. There are many take-out fried chicken restaurants in Hiroshima, but I think this is the best. This time I made a 5-piece set, but you can easily eat a L size containing 7 pieces. The rice is fluffy and flavorful, and the edamame and potato salad are also delicious. There aren't many fried chicken restaurants that specialize in anything other than fried chicken. I will continue to purchase from now on.
