I went to Ogoshiya in Hashimotocho, Naka Ward. It seems to be a restaurant that combines Shimane ingredients and creative Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). Lunch hours are short from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Also, the shop is on the 1st floor, but at the back of the building, and even at lunchtime there was only one customer. There are about 4 counter seats and 3 tables inside. I was told to take a seat of my choice, so I took control of the table by myself. Yokokoise You will be given a cold or warm towel and a menu. Hohoho, Shimane's Iwami pork, Izumo soba, and rice are also from Shimane Prefecture, so it's really Shimane Oshi. This time I chose the pork soup set meal (880 yen). Lunch is cash only. I heard that there are three main side dishes to choose from, so I chose Iwami pork Croquette. Arrived in about 10 minutes. The pork soup is rich with lots of root vegetables and a lot of miso. Iwami pork has a lot of fat and feels like a branded pork. I imagined Croquette to be a minced cutlet, but it's actually more like a potato. The surface is nicely fried without cracking, and the finish is good, but the sauce is weak. When I think of Shimane rice, I think of Nita rice, but I don't really like it. However, the rice here was different and delicious. It was a little hard, but for the price of 880 yen, I wanted to have something for dinner instead of just having a cold Small dish as a small side Local Cuisine. That said, the host's friendliness and the restaurant's atmosphere are very nice, so if I have a problem with lunch, I'll come back.
