``Shimane Ingredients and Alcohol Ogoe-ya'' is a 3-minute walk from the Hiroshima Electric Railway Ginzancho tram stop. Opened in 2014, this is a one-off operation by the owner. The exterior restaurant is located in a secluded area on the first floor of the building, and although there is a signboard, you have to walk a little way through a dimly lit passageway to reach the door, so it takes a little courage to enter. The interior decoration uses wood for both walls and floors, creating a relaxing atmosphere. It's a little lacking in brightness, but maybe that's just the taste. There are 20 seats in total: 4 counter seats, 4 tables x 3, and 4 stand tables. Since I was visiting for lunch, I ordered Izumo soba [large size] (660 yen including tax) + soft-boiled egg (additional 100 yen), and the bill was 760 yen. Izumo soba made with ground buckwheat flour. Apparently they are ordering it from Izumo. Although it is advertised as half-boiled, this time it felt more firm than half-boiled. In my personal opinion, Izumo soba is often served flat and has a satisfying texture, but I've never really noticed much of a flavor. It was like that this time too. It was a feast.
