広島市中心部の薬研堀エリアにある汁なし担々麺の専門店である。
このときは土曜日の夜22時ごろ。
キング軒本店はもう少し南の平和公園のはずれあたりにあって昼と夜の営業。しかしこの支店は、なぜか夜だけオープンするという営業形態である。
どうも薬研堀というのは広島では夜の繁華街ということらしく、確かに通りを歩いてみると東京でいえば歌舞伎町なんじゃないかというカテゴリのお店が立ち並ぶ。こちらのお店も要するに飲んだ後のシメのニーズを狙っているようで、ありていに言えばお客はよっぱらいばかりである。まあ仕方ないですね。
いつものように３辛の普通盛りにネギトッピングをチョイス。
ほんの数分で丼が出てくる。さっそく頂きます。
ぐりぐりぐりと30回くらいかき混ぜてからパク。う～ん旨い。
よっぱらいがわいのわいのしながら食べているのを横目に、ぱくぱくぱくと食べ、あっという間に完食。ふう。
こんな夜中なのに旨いものを食べれて良かった。ごちそうさまです。
