広島に来たら食べておかないとダメだよね〜ということで、お好み焼き。お好み村にも行ってみたが、どこが良いのか全然わからず、広島市民にも評判が良さそうでチェーン展開していて安心感もあるこの店へ。
まずはビール。野菜焼きと、五エ門焼き、そしてお好み焼きは満月焼き。
野菜焼きは、もやし、にんじん、玉ねぎ、ニラ、キャベツに豚肉がアルミホイルで焼かれた状態で供された。味は程よい程度についており、このままでビールによく合うつまみ。
五エ門焼きは、そばなどの具を卵と肉で巻いたもの。量はそれほどないのかと思っていたが、どうしてかなりのボリュームで、お好み焼きと合わせると頼みすぎた。味は濃いめ。ソース焼きそばを肉で巻いで更にソースで味付けだが、キムチが入っているのでお好み焼きとは一線を画す。
お好み焼きもそばとうどんが選べる中でそばを選んだので、五エ門焼きとカブった感はある。お好み焼きとしての生地は薄く、大阪のお好み焼きのようなフワッと感はない。
全体に味が濃く、B級感に溢れていて、ソウルフードと呼ぶに相応しい。ビールにも合う。ただ、たまに、が良い。
