It was Golden Week 2017. Unlike most people's Golden Week trips, my family went to Hiroshima Prefecture for work. We also went to Hiroshima Prefecture for the first shrine visit of the year. We traveled to Onomichi City, Kure City, and Hiroshima City, and went to Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima for the first shrine visit of the year. My partner and I headed to Hiroshima Prefecture, thinking that we would stop by a place we hadn't been able to go to due to schedule conflicts. We had dinner with a friend who lives in Hiroshima, had after-party and then parted ways. "We'll definitely meet again"... These words are important after a certain age, as there are cases where you may not be able to meet while you're still alive. It feels like fun times pass quickly. Which way is the hotel? Where's a taxi? My partner and I walked around the night streets of Hiroshima City, asking questions like this. When we saw a sign in front of a store, my partner said, "It looks nice!" My partner said something that had no basis. I wondered in my mind what was nice about this sign? We decided to stop by. My partner had a strawberry cocktail. It was a frozen type and it was delicious. I had a gin and tonic. The lighting was just right, either bright or dark, but it had a nice atmosphere.
