店内は壁に錨が吊るされていたり、木製の重厚な扉があったり、棚に瓶が飾られているのですが倒れない様な仕掛けがあったりと大型帆船の船室というか食堂をイメージしているのでしょうね

``bistro & bar Rocinante II'' is a 2-minute walk from the Hiroshima Electric Railway Tatemachi tram stop. Opened in 2012, the shop is run by a husband and wife team. The exterior has a Mediterranean-style feel, with white walls, an eave with orange tiles, and a weathervane. The inside of the store has an anchor hanging on the wall, a heavy wooden door, and shelves decorated with bottles that are designed to prevent them from falling over, giving the impression of a cabin on a large sailing ship or Cafeterias. I guess it is. The inside of the store is also unique in that it has bulkheads like a ship, so you can't see all the way to the back. There are 6 tables x 2, 4 tables x 6, and 2 tables x 2 for a total of 40 seats. I ordered a European-style curry (980 yen including tax). Toppings are asparagus, potato, and carrot. The low viscosity roux, which goes well with hard rice, has the spiciness of spices and a subtle sweetness of vegetables in the aftertaste. The umami melted out from the soft-cooked pork belly, and it had a good balance. It was a feast.
