カレーう丼ぶり（700円）
ランチで訪問。カウンターに着席し壁に掲示してあるメニューを確認。毎週水曜日はカレー曜日ということで、普段850円のカレー定食が700円で提供されており来店客の殆どがオーダーしている。なのでカレー定食にしようかと思った矢先、ふと右隣りにあるカレーう丼ぶりの文字が目に留まり慌ててオーダー。
２分で着丼、早い。カレーう丼ぶりは、カレーうどんの中にライスが入ったのか、カレーライスの中にうどんが入ったのかは定かではないが、カレーとうどんとライスがひとつの丼に合わさったものに唐揚げが添えられている。少し混ぜてから食べようとしたところ、厨房のおかみさんから「全部を混ぜるとライスがダマになって食感が悪くなるので、まずはうどんをそのまま食べてそれからライスを食べて」との指南あり。
その通りまずはうどんから。伸びのある程よい弾力はあるが、柔らかくコシのないタイプだが、濃厚で少しとろみのあるカレーとの合わせが抜群に旨い。
カレーはビーフがベースでコクのある旨味が広がるとともに、スパイシーな辛味がアクセントになっていい感じ。出汁は入ってないようなのでライスには当然にマッチする。ジューシーな唐揚げも旨い。
ありそうでなさそうな夢の取り合わせが堪らない。
