山形蕎麦のお店らしい。まだ、私の広島の行動範囲では蕎麦屋はあまり見かけない。それどころか、どこにでもある吉野家や餃子の王将さえ市内に少ないと感じる。お好み焼きが広島の飲食業界を牛耳っており、全国区の大手チェーンと言えどもなかなか広島には進出できないのかな？
鴨板そばの大盛(￥1390？)を頂いた。
羽前そばって聞いた事がなかったが山形なのね。
蕎麦は太目で黒っぽい田舎そばだった。ざるではなく、木の箱に載せられているので水分が下に貯まるのだが、板が波を打っているので水浸しにはならず、適度な水分が蕎麦を掴みやすくしている。蕎麦はかなり硬め、悪く言えばボソッとしていて切れやすく、短い蕎麦片が溝に入って最後までは取りにくい欠点があった。
出汁は美味しく鴨肉もそれなりに旨い。大盛で1.4倍増だったと思うが、麺はそれほど多くなかった。
しなやかでコシのある蕎麦ではないが、素朴な旨さは出雲そばに通じるところがある気がする。
