"Samgyeopsal" and "Sundubu Jjigae" are delicious! Enjoy authentic Korean home cooking with a glass of Korean alcohol♪
Our sister restaurant, "Kanmi-ya Takanohashi Branch," can accommodate up to 35 people. At [Kanmi-ya], you can enjoy a variety of dishes, including the representative Korean home-cooking "Sundubu Jjiga |
Sundubu Jjigae (800 yen) I visited for lunch. The counter was full, so I was shown to a table seat on the raised platform and sat down, and it was full when I sat down. There were three types of lunch menu, and I ordered Sundubu Jjigae from among the stone-grilled bibimbap, Sundubu Jjigae, and Seolleongtang. After a while, the Sundubu Jjigae arrived, bubbling away like a cauldron from hell, and steaming away. It looked extremely hot. The ingredients were a simple lineup of tofu, enoki mushrooms, green onions, eggs, and clams, and the chicken-like soup stock was spiced with soy sauce and chili peppers. The spiciness was not very strong, but it was very hot. If you slurp it down with a spoon too fast, you will definitely get burned. As it cooled down, it seemed lighter than I expected. I had initially thought that the spiciness was mild, but the soup was also mild in flavor and richness. It may have been made light and easy to eat, but I would have liked it to have a bit more body and flavor. The rice was cooked quite hard, which was a bit disappointing.
