"COMON" is located on the first floor of a building in a back alley, a 2-minute walk from the Hiroshima Electric Railway Chuden-mae power stop. Opened in 2013, owner: Kazuhiro Takahashi. There are a total of 21 seats, including 5 counter seats, 2 tables × 2 tables, and 4 tables × 3 tables. After returning to Japan after spending 20 years in Germany, I started this shop to introduce German Cuisine to Hiroshima. restaurant The exterior is eye-catching with wooden doors and large glass windows. The German flag is emblazoned on a banner of German wine, which intrigues German Cuisine. restaurant The interior is decorated with accessories derived from Germany, and those who like it may be happy. I visited at lunchtime, so I asked for a schnitzel [chicken cutlet] set meal (980 yen including tax). The chicken cutlet was large, and the frying method was normal, but the taste of the tomato sauce was strong. The sauerkraut has a strong acidity and is a real garnish. The potato salad was ordinary, and the carrot, sausage, and egg soup wasn't that unique. The shredded cabbage salad was something you often see in Indian curry restaurants, but it was properly European with French cuisine dressing. It's a pity that the saffron rice was lumpy. It was quite voluminous, so it seemed to be appreciated by male customers. It was a treat.
