チキンカツカレー中（990円）
広島初出店の金沢カレーの銘店にランチで訪問。少し遅めの時間帯に伺ったため先客はまばらで店内は落ち着いた様子。
入店して店内左側にある券売機でメニューを確認。一番人気はロースカツカレーだが、ロコモコ風やシャウエッセン、エビフライ、チキン南蛮などの各種トッピングが展開されている。組み合わせたマンハッタンやメジャーといった魅力的なラインナップもある中でシンプルにチキンカツカレーの中サイズを選択。辛さもノーマルの中辛でお願いする。
金沢カレーは言わずもがな黒味のルゥに千切りキャベツ、銀の皿、フォークが特徴的で、デミグラスソースをより味わい深くしたようなコクたっぷりの旨味と甘味、そして程よい酸味が広がり、濃厚でとろみの強い口当たりがライスにフィットする。コクの深い味わいながらもクドさはなく、さらりとした後味が最高に旨い。千切りキャベツのアクセントもいい感じ。揚げたて熱々のチキンカツも濃厚なルゥに馴染んでおいしく完食。
