以前、同じ広島の鉄砲町にある暁で頂いた尾道ラーメンがすこぶる美味しくて、その後に食べた他所の尾道ラーメンといつも比較してしまうほど。たまたま所用で宿泊したホテルの裏手にこの小町店がある事を知り、喜び勇んで訪問いたしました。
券売機にて『チャーハンセット／970円』をポチり。唐揚げセットや辛い尾道ラーメンってのもそそるなぁ。客層は呑み帰りの〆にラーメンを食べようとする方々が多く店内は大賑わい。
厨房では豪快に鍋が振られ、チャーハンと同時進行で作られていくラーメン。それにしても早いな。ものの５分もしないうちに両方とも到着です。茹で時間が短いのでしょうか。
やってきた丼には小振りのチャーシュー２枚に青ネギ、メンマ、そして尾道ラーメンを特徴づける豆粒大の香ばしい背脂。ラードに彩られたスープも、少しパツパツ感のあるストレート麺も、やっぱり美味しいな。現地尾道で食べたラーメンより明らかに旨い。
付け合せの半チャーハンも、殆ど具材が無いのにも関わらず塩気が効いていて美味いわ。これ一個で食べてみたいと想わせるくらいのレベル感。
いやいや今回もやっぱり美味かった。個人的には広島ラーメンの代表格「陽気」よりも圧倒的に軍配はこちら。広島に来たらなるべく新規開拓を試みるんですが、ここはまた来てみたいな。
