This shop is located in the west block of Hiroshima Station, commonly known as the "Ekinishi" area. The first floor has only a counter, and the second floor has tatami seating for about a dozen people. Although it is based Korean Cuisine, the food and drinks are exceptional, and the appetizer to start with is the oyster simmered in Japanese pepper. The smoked Oyster are imbued with the flavor and aroma of Japanese pepper, making it perfect for pairing with alcohol. The raw oysters are locally produced in Etajima, Hiroshima. The surface of Oyster is sprinkled with kelp salt, which is made by soaking kelp in salt water, and when squeezed with a squeeze of lemon, you can enjoy the pure flavor of Oyster without any odor or taste. The drool chicken is said to be the spiciest dish at this restaurant. The spiciness is complemented by the richness of the soy sauce-based sauce, and it is extremely delicious when eaten with plenty of sesame seeds. The fried octopus is also good. Seollong Ramen is a combination of beef bone soup and Korean dried noodles. The cloudy soup with the flavor of the vegetables blends in with the slightly hard noodles for a gentle flavor. After all, the store's selling point is its wide variety of gin. Apparently there are about 500 types of gin in the world, and about 100 of them seem to be gathered here. I drank 5 types, but my favorite was MONKEY 47, which is scented with 47 types of botanicals. It has a deep flavor that is refreshing yet sweet, with a complex interplay of various aromas. Both the manager and the owner are very particular about their gin, and if you let them know what you like, they'll recommend it for you, so even beginners can enjoy it with confidence.
