A wide variety of Okinawan dishes and side dishes made with seasonal ingredients. A homey teppan bar that you'll want to visit every day.
Teppan Sakaba Yuntaku is located in a residential area. We serve warm home-cooked Okinawan cuisine, side dishes, and set meals cooked on a teppan! Most of the menu items, which use seasonal ingredient |
I went to "Teppan Sakaba Yuntaku" after learning that it was open for lunch. There is no parking lot at the restaurant, so I parked my car in a nearby paid parking lot. It was dimly lit when I entered the restaurant. I didn't mind the dim lighting at all, but the customer in front of the teppan in the back was smoking, so I didn't like the smell of cigarettes. At night, it becomes Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), so smoking seems to be OK. It doesn't suit me as I don't smoke. There were about five seats in front of the teppan and three tables. I sat at a table away from the teppan, but the ventilation was not good and the cigarette smell did not change. I looked at the menu and decided on Okonomiyaki, which costs 500 yen. You can choose from three types of noodles: Okinawa Soba noodles, yakisoba noodles, and udon. The owner recommended Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) noodles, but I chose Okinawa Soba soba noodles. I think the cost price of Okinawa Soba noodles is probably higher. I asked for cheese and shiso leaves from the topping menu. This was 700 yen, so it was a service price. It took 20 minutes for it to be ready. It was different from the meat ball Okinawa Soba with perilla cheese topping that I had imagined. I thought the cheese would be thick, but there was crispy cheese on top of Okonomiyaki. When I ate it, the cheese had a rich taste and aroma and a nice crispy texture. It was delicious even when eaten with Okonomiyaki. Okinawa Soba was about halfway between udon and Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) noodles in thickness, with a texture similar to udon and a taste similar to Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) noodles. The noodles were a combination of the best of udon and Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) noodles, and went well with Okonomiyaki. The flavor and aroma of the perilla topping was great, and it was irresistible for those who like perilla. It was an easy-to-eat and delicious meat ball Okinawa Soba with perilla cheese topping. Okinawan Cuisine on the dinner menu looked delicious, but I don't like the smell of cigarettes, so I can't go to eat it.
