家族旅行でお邪魔。しまなみ海道・生口島北ＩＣより車で10分ほど、平山郁夫美術館の並びに聳える菓子工房。地元名産・瀬戸田レモンを使った看板商品のレモンケーキ「島ごころ」がG7広島サミットでおやつに採用されるなど大バズり中のお店。
ここ本店ではお土産としての購入はもちろん、焼き立てレモンケーキをその場でいただくことができる。
15時半過ぎにお邪魔。他客なし。
入口手前にはお土産用のレモンケーキやジャムの詰め合わせなど。焼き立てレモンケーキはレジ横で美味しそうに並んでいる(∩･∀･∩)
人数分購入し、広々としたイートインスペースへ。
店内のオーブントースターで加熱していただきます！
レモンピールで作ったジャムを生地に練り込んで焼き上げられていて、甘さは控えめ。バターの芳醇な香りとしっとり感、レモンピールの粒感が印象的な味わい。ランチで腹パンの状態でも別腹で2〜3個ペロッといけちゃいそうな軽めの一品。美味(∩･∀･∩)
