2014年1月、岡町に新しくできた焼き鳥屋さんです。場所がちょっと分かりにくいですけど、「割烹観世」さんを少し通り過ぎ、右の細い道にあります。「パームスプリングス」があったところ、と言った方が馴染みがある方も多いかも知れません。知人に聞いて早速お邪魔してみました。
中は新しいだけにきれいです。焼き鳥屋さんにしては落ち着いた雰囲気ですね。思ったより広く、4人用テーブルが4卓、2人用が１卓、カウンターが5席ほど。人柄の良さがにじみ出た若い店主と、女性の方が切り盛りされていました。
焼き鳥以外のメニューは、ちょっとしたおつまみ系の物がある程度です。比較的安めの設定で、ガッツリ飲むというよりは、ちょい飲みの方が合っている気がします。
本日は、串盛り７本1,100円と、レバー200円、ささみ（梅しそ）220円、鶏のから揚げ500円、おにぎり150円を注文。
値段が値段なので、素材にそこまでのこだわりを期待すべきではないと思いますが、タレはさらっとあっさりしていて、食べやすい味。塩も、単なる塩こしょうではなく、いくつかのスパイスが混ざっていて、こだわりがうかがえます。
串は小さめの物が多いですが、中にはそこそこの大きさのものもあって、お値段からしたらちょっとお得感がありますね。
その他のから揚げ、おにぎりも十分楽しめるものでした。
まだオープンしたばかりなので、試行錯誤しながらになるんだと思いますが、串以外のメニューをもう少し増やしていただけると、より楽しみが増えていいかもしれません。
西条には個性のある焼き鳥屋さんが増えてきましたから、特色を出しつつ、頑張ってほしいと思います。
