Tonight's drink is a red wine called Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Maipo Valley, Chile). It's like Bordeaux Pauillac. The grapes were mainly Bernet Sauvignon, but the wine had a deep, complex aroma and a smooth, elegant finish. Let me digress a bit with the Philippe de Rothschild connection. We enjoyed the original French 1971 Chateau Mouton Rothschild (label artist: Kandinsky) and Burgundy 1969 DRC Romanée Saint-Vivant for the 2024 New Year's meal. The Château Mouton in my house was sold only in 1988 (label by Keith Haring). The appetizer is seared bonito. Since I wanted to pair it with red wine, I ordered yakitori. It is not skewered and comes with a soft-boiled egg. I was impressed by the taste, which was similar to chicken Sukiyaki. The bird has a gamey taste, which adds to the flavor of the bite. I asked the staff for Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) from a soba restaurant, and I received it with yakimi and sansho. The green onions have a nice texture and are both sweet and spicy, making them a wonderful green onion. It has a texture similar to that of Shimonita in Gunma, and is full of the high-quality flavor and umami that you would expect from Sukiyaki. Ichimi and sansho are delicious. It was the perfect match for Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). The next dish I ordered was a buckwheat flour Garrettes. Buckwheat Garrettes Local Cuisine from the Brittany region of France. Garrettes uses buckwheat flour. By the way, Crepes are made from wheat flour. Among them, the most orthodox and standard Garrettes is the `` Garrettes complet'', which is topped with eggs and ham. The name "Garrettes" comes from the French word "galet". Gare means "pebble". I once had Garrettes near Gare Montparnasse in Paris. The area around Montparnasse is home to many immigrants from Brittany. Therefore, in that area, Garrettes shops are surpassing each other. This is an irresistible dish with the rich flavor of buckwheat flour. I was able to enjoy a variety of flavors and textures in each bite by tossing Garrettes with the ham while breaking the fried egg. To finish off the meal, I had Kake Soba. The soba soup was black and looked salty at first glance, but it wasn't. It is made into a sweet soup. Cold soba is priced at 100% soba, but hot soba is priced at 28. It seems that 28 was used to prevent the hot soup from becoming messy. It's hard to be considerate. The last thing I was disappointed with was the smell of cigarettes left in the store and on the walls. Smoking was probably allowed in this store. That point became a minus.
