こちらの商業施設に入るのはひさびさです。
10年ぐらい前に仕事で来たことはありますが、個人的な利用なら20年以上振りです。
まぁ、平成元年まで、ここにあったのはサッポロビールの第1工場でした。
すぐそばにある中学校出身なので、夏場に教室の窓を全開にしていると、ホップの香りが
漂っていましたけどね。
当時はビールなんぞ呑むような中学生ではなかったので、かなり嫌なニオイでしたが…(笑)
今日は東豊線の大通駅で降りて、コンコースを東西線バスセンター前駅方向に
向かって歩きますか。
一番近いのは8番出口です。
セブンイレブンの前を通って北に向かって歩けば…大通駅から20分程かかりました。
帰りは札幌駅まで歩きましたが、時間的にあまり変わりませんでした(笑)
そういや、ユナイテッドシネマが入っているフロンティア館の西側にある、
ジグザク道路の変形交差点が直線道路になるんだよなぁ…
10年ほど前まで「らー麺ばり屋」のあったあたりは更地になっていました。
で、北3条通側赤レンガの旧工場の裏側にある、セブンイレブンの手前にある
入口から入ります。
まぁ、エスカレーターで地下1階に降りたらすぐ脇にありました。
こちらの店舗は初めてですが、40年ぐらい前でしたか?
東急百貨店の南側あたりでオープンしたお店には、30年ほど前に
時々お邪魔していました。
当時はまだ札幌にインド料理のお店はなかったような…
70年代初めに創業したアジャンタがありますが(笑)
路面にあったお店と同じ、いかにもなハデハデの店構えです。
店内も薄暗くてハデハデですね?
しかもデカいモニタにはボリウッドダンスの動画が…(笑)
飛沫防止パーティションで仕切られた、大テーブル席に案内されました。
メニューを拝見しますか?
で、お願いしたのはベジタブルカレーとチキンカレーにナンの
「タージセット1,199円」を中辛です。
3分ほどで登場しました。
まぁ、カレーが早く出るのは、なんとなく想像がつきましたが、
ナンってこんなに早く焼き上がるんでしょうか?
薄手でパリッパリなナンですが。
ベジタブルカレーに入っている野菜はなんだろうね?
ゴボウとかかな?よくわからんけど具だくさん(笑)
チキンはまんま鶏肉が少々入っています。
辛さはもう少し強くても良かったかなぁ?
もう一つの器に入っているのは、コールスローでした。
うん、良い箸休め…じゃないな(笑)スプーン休めになります(爆)
そうそう、こちらのお店の店員さんは見える限り現地の人たちばかりです。
でもお会計のあとの挨拶は「サンキューベリーマッチ」なのね?(笑)
まぁ、ヒンディー語で話されても…
なんか懐かしい気分に浸れました。
