I visited this place for lunch, which I had been interested in for a while. This restaurant is part of the "Hotei" chain, which is the most popular restaurant in Sapporo for its Zangi. What's more, it not only serves Chinese food, but also Sushi for some reason (lol). There is another restaurant with the same concept in Sapporo, [a:1008321,Yangtze River], but why Sushi and Chinese food? It's a mysterious space that makes you wonder lol. It happened to be a "Chinese only" day, so you can only order from the Chinese menu. Maybe Sushi chef is off? The menu is diverse, but the first thing that caught my eye was the "XO sauce Seafood fried rice," so I decided to order it immediately lol. After looking at it, there were more Chinese set meal-like menus, and not only did they come with Hotei's Zangi, but you could also order this Zangi as a single item. I think it was about 250 yen per piece. My companion ordered the Yodare Chicken Set, and if you choose one main dish, it seems that you get a Chinese side dish, Zangi, and salad. The Chinese side dish on this day was Chinese curry. It looked so delicious that I had just a little, but the moderate spiciness combined with the sweetness of the sweet potato made it quite tasty. My portion of fried rice was so huge that I ended up putting a little on top of my companion's rice to help out (bitter smile). There was a variety of Seafood, including scallops, squid and shrimp. The vegetables were lettuce, and the XO sauce flavor wasn't that strong. Looking at the menu again calmly, there were other dishes that appealed to me, and I'd like to return on a day when they have Sushi on the menu. It's on the third floor of a building, and at first glance it was hard to find, so I wondered where the restaurant was, but it had a hidden feel to it and was a fun restaurant. I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal~
