東京ではサラダボウルのブームが長い間続いており、専門店が続々と現れては消え、開店しては閉店を繰り返しているのですが、地方に行くと殆ど見かけることはありません。そんな折、札幌の街でチョップドサラダとレモネードの専門店をたまたま通りがかって発見しました。
「クリスプサラダワークス（CRISPSALADWORKS）」などに比べると全く小さい厨房であり店員3人も入ればギュウギュウ詰め。イートインはなくテイクアウト専門で、ややもするとタコ焼き屋のような雰囲気です。
「SBサラダ」は1,480円、写真下の「メキシカンキングス」は1,380円。完全に東京価格であり、地価を考えれば東京よりも強気の姿勢です。「美に特化した20種類以上の野菜」とのことですが、トマトとベリーの甘味が強く味覚に抑揚が無い。途中で食べ飽きてしまいました。
「メキシカンキングス」はサルサ風味と思いきや謎にカレー風味であり、たっぷりのチキンと相俟ってドライカレーを食べている気分です。
サラダ専門店、特にチョップドサラダのお店が珍しい札幌においては貴重な存在であり、味も悪くないのですが、東京の似たようなお店に比べると割高に感じます。やはり「クリスプサラダワークス（CRISPSALADWORKS）」は偉大であると再認識したピクニックでした。
