Just like the "maru" (circle) in the restaurant's name, Taishu Sakaba Maruya values connections with people. Enjoy delicious seasonal northern vegetables, local chicken tataki, meat tataki, oden, etc. |
I realized later that it was behind Zepp. As the snow started to fall steadily in the evening, we didn't want to go too far from the hotel, so we chose an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that we could all walk to. There were some people who seemed to be regulars sitting at the counter, but we were shown to the most spacious table, and we started off with a toast with Sapporo Black Label Beer! There were a lot of dishes on the menu that were rare for Kyushu and we didn't even know the names for (lol). We decided on various dishes while asking the waitress. The octopus sausages had a great flavor! We also had lamb and zangi, and other delicious dishes, so we were glad we chose them on the first day! It was starting to get cold outside, so we called it a day! Thank you for the meal.
