その日の最後の店に選んだのは「とりきん」
室蘭焼き鳥と、日本酒の揃えで地元では有名と耳にしていた。
思いのほか北34条の駅に近く、気付かずに通り過ぎてしまったほどだった。
その日は小樽も札幌も暑くて、店内は焼き物をしているせいかまたかなり暑い。
冷房の効いていそうな、
カウンターの奥のほうにあなたと並んで座った。
メニューから選んだお酒は、而今八反錦。
而今は、私の心から好きな酒。
とりきんと書かれた枡に入れたグラスにいっぱいについでくれる。
あてに正肉、つくね、とうがらし。
鳥たたき、〆鯖。
〆鯖は浅い締め加減が絶妙。
酒にあうことこの上ない。
鳥たたきもお肉はやわらかで甘く、さっぱりしたドレッシングがほどよかった。
美味しいねと言いながら飲む。
ペットボトルに入れて凍らせ溶かし、どんとカウンターの上におかれた和らぎ水。
テレビでは野球中継。
この庶民的な焼き鳥屋さんで、いただく而今・・・
次は而今の雄町を。
ふるさとのお店であなたとふたり、このお酒を飲める日がくるなんて。
酔いを深めゆるんだ頭で、
