札幌市清田区清田、国道36号線沿いにある人気スープカレー店。店前に広めの駐車場を備えるので、車でのアクセスもしやすい。店内も広くて開放的、一人用のカウンターは少し奥まった場所にあるので、隠れる訳では無いが利用しやすい。
メニューは、スープカレーを中心に品数およびトッピングも豊富。A、B、C、三種類から選択出来る、お得なランチメニューの設定も用意されている。
■北海道マハラジャカレー 1,200円（税込み）
不動の一番人気メニューとのこと。土鍋でグツグツと煮だてられて提供されるスタイルは目にも楽しい。カレーは知床産チキンレッグ、じゃがいも、ニンジン、ナス、おくら、ムング豆の具材構成。チキンレッグは柔らかくホロホロと煮込まれ、旨みもしっかりしている。その他の野菜類もしっかりと食べやすく調理されていた。スープは辛口を選択、旨味やコクを重視しながらも、爽やかなキレも印象的だ。やや固めに炊かれた、パラリとした五穀米使用のターメリックライスも、カレーとの相性良し。総合的なバランスに優れたスープカレーに仕上がっていた。但し、スープの量が、200gのライスをスープにヒタヒタで食べると、少し足りないように感じる。

本日のXmas、大好きな蕎麦屋でもりそば1枚の後はまだお腹に余裕があったので、先日マイレビュアーさんの記事を拝見して美味しそうだった、Xmasらしいマンスリーメニューのあるこちらにクイックイン。
【今月のカレー】ローストビーフと野菜のスープカレー 1,100円
割とクラシカルでスパイシー。思っていたよりもサラッと軽いタイプ。しかしその出汁感がどうも控えめに感じてしまった。良く言えばキレがある味わいだが、私には少し物足りない。
ライスは十分に満足。そしてローストビーフもクセ無くしっとり、旨味もあり美味しい！…のだが、盛り付けが何だかチープ。私がもし指導者ならNGを出すレベルで分量も何だか少ない。
もしかすると本日は調理感が良くない日、スープカレーも微妙なバランスが崩れているような気がした。一期一会な食の世界、これは要改善だろう。
が、しかし…
この内容で1,100円は十分以上に満足。こちらは平日ランチを含めてメニュー全般が割と安い価格帯。勿論高くても価格に内容が見合っていれば不満は無いが、材料価格高騰の最近でもこの価格帯を維持するのは企業努力と企業姿勢、これは大いに評価したいし有難い。
さて、汗をかいた事だし、さらなる発汗を求めて温泉に向かおう。
