A new pig shop has opened in Gunkawa. Apparently they moved here from the Shintoku Farm in Tokachi. It's the same as Yamada Farm, which is nearby and raises goats and makes cheese. They're like friends. As you drive along Milk Road, you will see a small sign. Currently, meat sales are held twice a month on weekends. When I went on the day of sale, I found that a lot of it had been sold the day before and only shank and thigh meat was left. It's best to make a reservation by phone if possible. There are lots of cute goats, sheep, meows and so on. The pig is Landrace x Large Yorkshire with a Duroc father. It's a three-breed pig. They live a relaxed life eating local pumpkins and sweet potatoes. At this time of year, the main ingredients seem to be soybeans, okara, wheat, and beer lees. Prices may fluctuate in the future When I went there it was very cheap. I grilled it with just Guérande salt and it was delicious. Apparently they're currently selling it at Colts and Toui in the city. If you get the chance, you might be able to try it. It's only twice a month, so it becomes meat.
