初の北海道旅行中にニセコ在住の知り合いに連れられて訪問。
お店は洋風な外観にロッジ風の内装で、とても落ち着いた空間が広がる。
各テーブルには七輪が設置されており、よく見るスリットの入ったジンギスカン鍋ではなく、網で焼くスタイルになっている。
綺麗に円形に盛り付けられた深い赤色の羊肉は、牡丹のように見えとても美しい。
自身が生まれて初めての羊肉ということもあり、期待と不安を抱きつつ、一口。
これまで想像していた羊肉の認識が覆される。
とてもジューシーな上に、くどさは一切なく、肉の味もしっかり感じられる。これが羊肉か！
羊肉に抵抗がなくなったこともあり、蝦夷鹿も追加でオーダーしたが、こちらも深い味わいでとても美味しく頂けた。
また、肉への感動で存在が薄れていたが、ポテトフライも相当美味しく、今まで食べたことのない甘さは、添えられているマヨネーズとケチャップはつけずそのまま食べてほしいと思った。
このお店のジンギスカンはラム肉ということだったので、次の北海道旅行ではマトンにも挑戦したいと思うが、地元に戻ってジンギスカンを食べた時にショックを受けないことを願いながらも、ジビエへの興味が深まった素晴らしいお店でした。
