First time drinking in Iwamizawa. I called a yakitori restaurant but it was full. I called this restaurant and they said that there was a seat available on the tatami floor or at the counter, so I made a reservation for the tatami floor. When I arrived at the restaurant from the hotel, a table seat became available at the right time, so they cleared it and showed me to it. I asked if there was an all-you-can-drink option, and it was 2,000 yen for 2 hours, so I ordered it. First, we toasted with highballs. The appetizers were boiled whelks, nameko mushrooms, and edamame beans. Everything was good and delicious. The nameko mushrooms were especially delicious. In particular, the "Magokoro Age" (fried heartily), named after the restaurant, was a delicious deep-Fried food made with tofu and white fish paste. The marinated mackerel was probably homemade.
