昭和の頃は一大喫茶店地帯だった岩見沢市市街地。20メートルに一軒はあった感じでとにかく喫茶が多かった。しかし、今となってはほとんどなくなり、かろうじて駅前のにれがある程度だ。昭和39年開業らしく、現在の建物は昭和の終わりくらいに新しくなった店舗と記憶している。とはいってもレトロだ。ベルベット地のような椅子とダークブラウンの木の内装が昭和の純喫茶である。メニューはスパゲティの種類が多くナポリタンが人気。ゆでおきのパスタを炒めて鉄板の上に乗せて出すタイプ。ああ、昭和の純喫茶のナポリタンだ。サテンのスパはミートかナポリタンが定番で、今回は懐かしいナポリタンを食べた。サラダがついてるがドレッシングがうまい。コーヒーはまあまあである。大昔はJAZZとは無関係のお店だったが、今ではオーディオやJAZZ CDのジャケットが飾られている。落ち着くねー。ただし、トイレが洋式でないものがあるのがまた昭和だ。
