A friend from my university days works near Iwamizawa, so I visited there, about an hour from Sapporo. Initially, I wanted to go to Mifune, a famous Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) in Iwamizawa, but it was closed on Sundays. Other stores are also closed on Sundays, so I had no choice but to visit the local Hokkaido chain store, Flame. Since I was looking for a reunion after a long time, I thought a chain restaurant would be fine, but for 750 yen all-you-can-drink with beer, the skewers are big and cheap, and the sashimi is thickly sliced, cheap, and delicious. This is Hokkaido quality. If you want to see Tokyo and end up wasting your money buying something cheap, it's not worth the price. Hokkaido. I was underestimating that Flame was the kind of restaurant that college students go to, but it was delicious enough. The meatballs were especially good. I forgot to take a picture of the meatballs, so it may not be conveyed well, but you should order the meatballs. Also, don't forget the sashimi.
