兵庫県庁のそばに「いそこ」というお店があります。
いそこって、どういう意味だろう？
店の前にメニューがあります。ランチタイムはとり丼と唐揚です。どちらも食べられるとり丼と唐揚というのがありますので、それにしましょう。
入口は木の引き戸です。なかなか高級感があるな。
入りますと、左にカウンター、右にテーブル席があります。
お兄さん二人でやっておられます。お兄さんにカウンターを勧められます。
とり丼は売り切れましたといわれました。ショック！
では、唐揚とめし 500円にしましょう。ごはんは大盛りでお願いします。
カウンターにはお茶のポット、コップ、黄色いたくわん、紅ショウガ、調味料が設置してあります。
ピピピとタイマーの鳴る音がします。唐揚げを揚げる時間のタイマーかな？
やってきました。
おお、唐揚とめし、そのものです。唐揚の皿にありがちなキャベツの千切りなどは、一切ありません。シンプルです。飾り気、虚飾が一切ありません。唐揚そのもので勝負です。
メニューにサラダ、味噌汁が各 100円であります。
唐揚は胸肉でしょうかもも肉でしょうか。いつものムネモモ問題です。
まずは確認のために唐揚をかじります。
おお、もも肉だ。かじった断面から肉汁があふれます。すばらしい揚げ具合です。もも肉でも揚げすぎているとかたくぱさついてくるので、この揚げ加減はとてもすてきです。
唐揚に味はあまり付いていませんので、カウンターの塩を皿に取り、つけながらいただきます。
唐揚はおかず力が強いのっで、大盛りごはんでちょうどでした。
勘定をするとき、店名の由来は何か聞いてみますと、一言「麻雀牌です」
なるほど、いそこ鳥か。すとんと腑に落ちます。めっちゃくちゃ納得です。
麻雀をなされない方に簡単に説明しますと、麻雀牌は、ピンズ、ソーズ、マンズ、字牌の４種類があり、ピンズ、ソーズ、マンズは１から９まであります。
ソーズの１は「イーソー」とか「いそこ」呼びます。いそこは鶏の絵になってます。焼鳥屋さんなので、その鶏の絵から店名を取っているんですって。
