油かすうどん。
新長田の大正筋商店街の南端近くにあるうどん屋さん。このお店からもう少し下ると、六間道商店街と交差する。間口は狭く、奥に長いカウンターのみのお店。店先に各うどんの写真が貼った看板があった。
海老天が入ったスタミナうどんと迷ったのだけど、油かすうどん600円を選択。油かすは南河内地方の郷土食材なのだけど、その後東神戸にも伝わり、今では市内全域で見かけるようになった。
大阪では「かすうどん」で通用するのだけど、神戸の長田では元々、粕汁にうどんを入れた酒かすうどんを「かすうどん」と呼んでいたので、区別するために「油かすうどん」と呼ぶようだ。
しばし待って、油かすうどん登場。早速スープを一口・・・出汁がうまい。油かすからも、良い出汁が出ているのだと思う。香ばしい香りがして、味に奥行きを感じる。
うどんは、柔らかい普通の関西うどん。店名は香川県坂出市に由来しているのだろうか。讃岐うどんを連想していたので、ちょっと拍子抜けした。でもかすうどんは大阪名物なので、これで成立している。
