Torikizoku knows the alchemy of enjoying delicious chicken
My first choice was "Sushibero Akashi Ekimae Branch," but it was a complete disappointment. As I left the restaurant feeling sad, Y-chan suggested, "Do you want to go to Torikizoku on the second floor of this building?" So I thought it would be nice to go for a meal after a long time, and we decided to start over at Torikizoku Akashi Branch. Y-chan is a huge fan of Torikizoku, but wasn't she an aristocrat in a past life?笑) It's an easy journey from the third floor to the second floor, with the restaurant right in front of you after descending the stairs. Torikizoku's selling point is the great value for money, with all items, from Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) to various dishes and drinks, all priced at 298 yen, but the food is also very tasty, so I really like it. I immediately entered the restaurant, and was shown to a counter seat that was available. Ordering is done via touch panel, and I've recently gotten used to ordering via touch panel, and am becoming more modern. Looking at the limited-edition menu, there are a lot of unusual dishes. I think I'll focus on these. I ordered "Chicken Skirt Steak Miso Grilled," "Heart-Shaped Herb Butter Grilled," "Triangle Yanagawa Style," and Y-chan's favorite, "Momo Kizoku Grilled with Spices" from the touch panel. It was around 5:40 p.m., but the restaurant was almost fully booked except for reserved seats, showing just how successful it was. This was a great advertisement for Torikizoku, which was even in the news. After ordering via the touch panel, the drinks arrived in about three minutes. For the third stop, I ordered a "Highball." Beer would have been fine for the whole meal, but after the third drink I started to crave a highball or chuhai. This is my third "Secret Technique!" today. We make an "Air Toast" and the "Highball" fizzes down our throats. It was busy so the food was slow to arrive, but after waiting for about 14 minutes, the first dish arrived. "Grilled Chicken Skirt Steak with Miso" Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is usually served with sauce or salt, but I've never heard of miso. So what does it taste like? Wow, this is so good! Miso is twice as good when grilled, it's rich in flavor and fragrant. The skirt steak is super soft and goes perfectly with a "Highball", it's delicious. "Grilled Hearts with Herb Butter" This was also quite good. The hearts are of course soft, but the herb-rich sauce has an outstanding taste. It's so good that you could drink alcohol with just the sauce alone. With this great start, my mind was reset for "Sushibero". After waiting another 6 minutes, Y-chan's favorite "Momo Kizoku Yaki Spice" finally arrived. When I first had this "Kizoku Yaki", I was impressed by Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) that had all three qualities: large, soft, and delicious, and this time was no exception. It was delicious and satisfying. I had Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and a highball, but I felt like an aristocrat (lol). Y-chan also seemed very pleased with this "Momo Kizoku Yaki Spice". I was glad that we were able to recover after "Sushibero" failed. "Triangle Yanagawa Style" This is also surprising at 298 yen. Like Kamameshi, this is a dish that doesn't seem to be profitable. Taking a bite of the hot spoon, the fluffy egg and the flavor of the broth are also delicious. I didn't know there was a part of chicken called "triangle", but it was softer than the thigh meat, and the chicken flavor overflowed when I chewed it. When combined with the egg, the flavor spread throughout my mouth. It's a dish that I can't believe is only 298 yen. It's like a luxurious version of Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) without the white rice. As expected of Torikizoku, we washed down the four delicious dishes with highballs and finished them all with great satisfaction. It's cheap and delicious, so it's no wonder that it's full of customers even during this coronavirus pandemic.

間と一緒に おいしいお野菜とおいしいお酒を楽しみました。 English: We drank quite a lot at Akashi's famous restaurant Gintora and were very satisfied, but let's make a detour to another place where you can drink in a big mug for cheap. Leaving Gintora, it's about a 3-minute walk to the restaurant's building, then go up to the second floor and you'll arrive at the restaurant: Torikizoku Akashi Branch. Torikizoku has the magical power to draw customers despite being on the second floor of a building. Come to think of it, even the familiar Torikizoku restaurants have their Nishiakashi branch on the third floor, Tsuchiyama branch on the second floor, and Miki branch on the second floor, and I think they're able to offer cheaper menu items by locating them in areas with cheaper rent, which attracts customers. We immediately enter the restaurant, and this Torikizoku is also full of customers. There was a seat in the back that was empty, so we were shown there and sat down. We immediately look at the menu, but discover something surprising. All items have now changed to 360 yen including tax. It was originally 298 yen including tax, but it has gone up a lot compared to before. Thinking about it like that, I became less and less interested in the 180 yen yakitori Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and decided to focus on ordering snacks. First, the drinks I had ordered earlier on the touch screen ordering machine arrived. The 'Mega Highball' was very impressive and even if it had gone up to 360 yen it would still feel like good value. 'Secret Technique! After an "Air Toast", I grip the handle of the mug and start sipping my "Mega Highball". The delinquent girl is the first to order the "Chicken Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot)", which will probably take a while to be ready. Since Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) at Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurants is often cheap, I tend to order it anyway. The solid fuel is lit and I quietly watch it being prepared. Then the "Shirasu Caesar Salada" arrives. It's got a good amount of vegetables and a decent amount of whitebait, so it feels like a good deal, and of course it tastes great too. "Hormone with Green Onion and Ponzu Sauce" If you're going to laze around at Torikizoku, this is the one to go for. I nibble here and there as I wash it down slowly with a "Highball", this is great. After lazing around for about 25 minutes, the long-awaited "Chicken Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot)" is ready, lightly cut with a rice scoop, steamed a little, and served in a bowl. With one bite, the flavor of the broth and chicken has permeated every grain of rice, making for a light yet delicious taste. Even as I was slowly drinking, I realized that even my Mega Highball was empty. I asked for a refill and focused on the food a little more. "Red Sea Bream Broth Udon" I ordered this simply because I felt like eating udon, but I was surprised at how delicious it was. The sea bream broth is extremely effective, and it's a rich bowl of noodles with a strong umami flavor. Sipping this broth and washing it down with a Highball is the best - Toriki's product development department really worked hard. I then ordered some chicken skin chips as a snack to help me continue drinking. With that, my Mega Highball was completely empty, and I was super satisfied. Thank you for the meal. It's a shame that the price has increased to 360 yen including tax, but I think this is still a good restaurant to use if you aim for something that feels like good value.
