城崎温泉は蟹だけやなく、但馬牛のお膝元。志賀直哉も食べただろうか?このモダンな食文化。
ランチに、但馬牛ステーキ丼2800円をいただく。
白米の上に、和牛ステーキ。日本独自に品種改良を重ねた和牛の最高峰。旨い!与謝野晶子ならばこの境地を分かるだろうか?
ご飯と牛肉の間に、炒めた玉ねぎともやしが挟んであり、それがご飯の芳ばしさに変わり、素晴らしくうまい。さらに上から味噌ベースのタレをかける。
ついでに、赤ワインはクロワザードGLSで550円、梅酒お湯割り550円、ワインはフランス産、梅酒は香住鶴。和洋折衷の日本近代を彷彿とさせるね。
二人合計で6700円。ランチとしては高いが、但馬牛もいまやブランド。
ステーキならば、ロースであっても100グラムで5000円ほど、サーロインならもっとする。
