とあるイベントで、こちらの「メロンカレー」をいただきました。
店頭では日本テレビの「スッキリ！！」という番組でコメンテーターが大絶賛しているVTRが流れています。
メロン入りのカレー…美味しいの…か？？？
一抹の不安を抱えつつもいただいてみることに。
★メロンカレー…500円
ライスはターメリックで黄色く色付けされ、みじん切りのにんじんが入ったバターライス。
カレーは写真ではわかりづらいのですが薄い緑色…メロン色。
後ろで並んでいたカップルが、「食欲がそそられない色のカレー」と言っていましたが、
正直なところはまさにその通り(￣▽￣;)
でもまぁ、タイのグリーンカレー（ゲーンキャオワン）やインドのサグカレーも初めて見た時はショッキングでしたが、
今では大のお気に入りカレーなわけですから、カレーは見た目ではありません。
勇気を出していただいてみると、しっかりとクミンの香りのする…でもメロン味の不思議なカレー。
カレーのルゥそのものにペーストのメロンも入っていますが、
具として角切りのメロンも入っていますので、とてもメロンの強い…でも紛れも無くこれはカレー。
もっと水っぽい中途半端な味のカレーなのかと思ったのですがそんなこともなく、
そこそこスパイスも効いています。
バターライスもいい感じですし、一応福神漬も添えてあります。
滅茶苦茶美味しいわけではないですし量も少なめですが、
500円ならば話の種に食べてみるのは悪くないのではないでしょうか。
