(ランチ) 水戸駅南口から桜川を通り過ぎて更に真っ直ぐ右側を歩くと"道路側の平屋部分"が板張り瓦屋根の｢北のしまだ本店｣がある。路地を右手に入ると杉玉が吊るされた入口正面にドーンとランチメニュー看板。定食4種に丼4種とちらし寿司にうどんとセット2種。本日の日替わりランチ800円は､かつお･メダイ･マカロニサラダ･ししゃもフライ。ちなみに向かいに｢あぶり焼きしまだ鱗17:00～｣
11:30 Open早々で一番客。レジを挟んで左右に分かれるが右手(丁度道路に面した平屋部分)へ若い店員さんに通される。7席程のカウンターと4人席テーブル5つ。ブラウン基調のフローリングで自然光の取入れも最小限にしてあって軽音楽が流れる室内は､真昼間なのにとても落ち着く。
どこにも書いてないけど駅ビル店同様ここもランチはコーヒー付き。"日替わりと食後コーヒー"をさっきの店員さんに頼んで待つ。カウンター内では仕込みをしている親爺さんに中堅､揚げ物担当の若手の調理人。多分ランチは若手の修行でもあるんだろう。｢前略おふくろさま｣の世界だぁと一人で勝手に妄想に耽ってると､ポツポツと女性に男性の中高年1人客。
っと丁寧に｢こちらがお醤油で､こっちがソースですぅ｣って可愛い店員さんの説明つきで日替わり登場。う～む､ちゃんと接客されてる。さりげないこの一声が嬉しいね。それに旨味たっぷりの鰹に揚げたてシシャモ。漬物も魚沼ご飯も美味しい。ちゃんと作られててここの客層から想像できる通り。
でも食べながら､ふとカウンターのメニューをヒックリ返してみると目の前とは違う内容。鰹に､ひらまさの照焼きに､蟹クリームコロッケとイクラおろし･･･何だこれ？と思ってたら､｢あぁっあ､御免なさい。これ違うんですぅ｣とあのオネエちゃん。別の日の日替わりランチだって。旨そうだなぁ･･。この日の日替わりも充分美味しいけど､ついついカペリンかぁ･･･と思ってしまった。日替わりの内容見て､なかおち定食800円･とんかつ定食800円チョイスってのも有りかな。
食後のコーヒーでまったりしてると､ドヤドヤと団体らしい客が2階へ。大人数は上の階で､4人未満は受付レジ右手に誘導してるのかな？
んでレジで会計の時に店のパンフレット見てたら､すかさず｢日曜も開けますからこれからは無休なんですよぉ｣｢本店､宜しくお願いしますぅ｣って店員さん。この店で働くのが楽しいんだろうなぁ。こちらも爽やかな気分にされちゃうよ。ランチもイイけど､こんなイイ娘(コ)がいるココは間違いなくイイ店だ。
