偕楽園の梅の開花が早まっているとのことで２月中旬、妻と一緒に水戸に小旅行。
昼、二人とも大好きなウナギを食べ、夜は偕楽園を散策して疲れたので、ワシの「アンコウ」という提案は却下され、中華を食べようということに。
水戸駅からすぐで比較的評判の高いこの店に都ほど移動。
金曜日ということで、１８時すぎのお店は宴会で盛り上がる皆さんで結構賑やか。
小生は皿うどん、妻はちゃんぽん、そして評判の餃子と唐揚げをシャアすることにする。
１５分ほど待って妻のチャンポンと餃子が到着。
チャンポンはとにかく野菜が多くて健康的な様子。
餃子は皮が厚くてモチモチしており、ボリュームがあってなかなか美味しい。
食べている途中にワシの皿うどんと唐揚げが到着。
そして、ここからが悲しい。
ワシの皿うどん。
かかっているアンはとにかく塩辛い。頑張って食べるが箸が進まない。
酢をかけて味を薄くするが、どうにもこうにも食べる気力がなく、かなりの量を残す。
唐揚げは周りの客も注文していて、期待したが揚げすぎでジューシーさはまるで無くカッチンカチン。
妻も同じ感想で結局唐揚げは二人で頑張って全部食べた。
餃子以外に見るべきものがない夕食だった。
