Being a lunch refugee, I chose Jolie Patas from among the chain restaurants At first I was thinking of having Carbonara, but then I saw the word "super spicy" and changed my mind to Arrabiata I wanted to check if it was a fake super spicy label like the chain restaurants often do... And when the Arrabiata came out, it had some rough chilli peppers sprouting out of it (lol) In fact, if you look closely you can see finely sliced chilli peppers here and there This looks promising!! I took a swish of my fork and, although I like spicy food, it was definitely spicy!! It wasn't so spicy that I couldn't eat it and was in awe, but it was still spicy It was a bit over the top for a chain restaurant, but I liked it!! There aren't many chilli seeds in it, so it doesn't have a lingering spiciness. Personally, if you eat the chilli as is, it's just the right amount of spiciness to make your forehead sweat. I wanted something a little spicy, so I thought it was a good choice. The pasta itself had a good tomato richness, and the sweetness from being cooked was also well brought out. The pancetta was delicious, and the sauce was perfect. It was a little disappointing that it seemed a little off in boiling time. I would have liked it better if it had absorbed a little more boiling water when combined with the sauce, so that it plumped up. However, the thing I was most disappointed about was that it wasn't hot enough. Heat is important for tomato pasta. I think the real thing should be hot enough to eat while panting. If it's hot, I'll probably order it again.
