私が水戸に来た頃からある中華屋さん。
街の味に親しんだ、食べやすい味付けで、市民に愛されている。
平日の昼は近くのサラリーマンで常に満席、隠れた人気店である。
久しぶりに訪問、早速肉団子定食、五目チャーハン、海老チャーハン、餃子を注文。
水戸に勤務した頃はよくこの肉団子定食を食べた。
その肉団子は手でこねた手作り感満載で、揚げ方が絶妙の硬さにし、酢の効いた餡が絡まっている。
食感は口の中で砕けていく柔らかさであり、通常の肉団子とは一線を画す。
肉の甘さが酢の餡と程よいハーモニーを奏でる。
五目チャーハンはたくさんの具材にまみれて、焦げた醤油ベースの味わいが癖になる。
海老チャーハンは薄い塩味ながら、沢山の海老が歯応えを作り出し、五目とは全く異なる味わいなのだ。
餃子は脂っこくなく、でいながらしっかり具材が溢れんばかりに入っていて、酢をかけて食べると非常に舌が喜ぶ。
高齢だが、未だ厨房で鍋を振るオーナーの姿は眩しかった。
