ジャマイカ料理をメインとしたダイニングバー |
平日の夜に訪問しました。水戸駅北口から600mぐらいのところにあります。
【雰囲気】
中はバーのような雰囲気で、小さいですが居心地がよい空間でした。お席はカウンターと、テーブルがあり、一人でも入りやすい雰囲気です。
【料理】
生ビールのハイネケン（550円）と、ジャークチキン（680円）、フィッシュフリッターなどを注文しました。
ジャークチキンは20種類以上のスパイスを独自に調合して、ローストしたチキンで、ジャマイカではお店ごとに異なったレシピで作る国民食だそうです。
最初にビールと、フィッシュフリッターが到着。
フリッターは、白身魚のフライで、なかはジューシー、衣はサクサクで、ビールのつまみには最高ですね。
20分ほど待って、お待ちかねのジャークチキンが到着しました。
横にはケチャップに唐辛子を混ぜた特製のソースが添えられています。
ジャークチキンは、モモ肉の部位で、スパイスはどのスパイスが入っているのか認識が難しいほど、複雑で奥深い味わいで、噛みしめるほどに味が変わっていくような不思議な料理でした。
水戸でジャマイカ料理を堪能するならお勧めのお店です。
