I'll be working on the weekend, and the kids will be coming over in the evening, so this might be the last lunch of the year where I can relax (I wonder if I can go next week? I wonder), and Christmas is coming up soon, so I decided to have a little luxury lunch. The navigation system took me to a strange place, and I missed a turn, and then I saw a sign, and I thought, "This looks like it!" and arrived there by chance. I checked the location and thought, should I kill time? Or take a walk? So I took a walk, as usual. Driving slowly through residential areas makes you look suspicious, so I took a walk as a form of exercise. I was walking around the school, but there was no way to turn off, so I walked all around the school. After about 30 minutes, I was pretty tired. I found a lot of old Supras, Fairlady Z Nismo? Expensive ones, etc. The seat we were shown was in the Japanese-style room on the left hand side of the entrance. Hmm, it was a little unsettling because to get to the Japanese-style room in the back, you had to go through this Japanese-style room, and to get to the private room next door, you probably had to go through this Japanese-style room too. When making a reservation, I recommend a private room or a window seat. By chance, there was a ladies' night out for the ladies in the back, and older ladies were having lunch by the window. I couldn't hear the quiet background music at all (lol). Lunch for adults and Tsubaki. For the adults' lunch, we had a leaf bowl (I read in a review that this isn't common around here). Tsubaki had grilled fish and boiled fish. I didn't think grilled fish was grilled fish. So it was just fish and fish. First came the chawanmushi. It was a slightly unusual chawanmushi. It had kamaboko and mitsuba. I think it had ginkgo nuts in it. There was no shiitake mushroom or chicken. The ginkgo nuts were green and slightly bitter, and were delicious. Each dish was brought together. Leaf bowl: It was like a simmered egg with spring onions. I wanted a spoon. It was a light bowl. Udon: Lightly seasoned and easy to swallow. Sashimi: 2 to 3 slices of three types, small size. Not bad. Roast beef: Delicious. It's a shame that there were only three slices. Tempura: Shrimp, Shishito mushrooms, crispy fried and delicious. Regular rice: Not sure if you can get a large serving. Just normal and delicious. Miso soup: A bit salty. Only the miso soup was a shame. Boiled fish: Soft and delicious. Grilled fish: It was a name I'd never heard of. I wish I'd had lemon on it. Why was Simmered dish pumpkin cold? Does that mean it's still delicious even when it's cold? Personally, I like to eat it while it's still warm, so it's a bit disappointing. My friend said it was delicious. Pickles: Just right. Finally, I ordered a drink and a dessert, hot coffee. The coffee is delicious as usual. Dessert: Matcha mini roll Castella, mini chocolate roll Castella The matcha is probably red bean paste. The chocolate is chocolate in between. The mandarin orange is Beni Madonna, a mandarin orange made by blending two kinds of mandarin oranges from Ehime. It was easy to eat and delicious. Thank you for the meal (^-^)ノ∠※。 .:*:・'°☆
