Grand opening on November 29, 2021 (Good Meat Day)! 3 minutes walk from Mito Station♪
A new renovated restaurant of the former Hormone Bar located a 3-minute walk from Mito Station, a stylish Yakiniku (Grilled meat) shop that focuses on Hitachi beef and Hitachi rice. There are counter |
I visited on a Saturday night near Mito Station. I was shown to my seat and asked if it was my first time at the restaurant, so when I told them it was, they asked me to scan the QR code with my smartphone to order. I personally hate this. I need to charge my phone, and I don't know how much of my personal information they're collecting. This restaurant forces you to register for LINE (you can't order without registering). You may also need to have a LINE account and app. They seem to have free WiFi, but I don't know how secure it is. I ordered as instructed, but the "Specialty Thick-Cut Tongue" under the sign "A5 Hitachi Beef is a Good Value" only had two slices Cow tongue, and the rest was pork tongue. I thought, "Oh, isn't this a scam?", but well, there is Cow tongue in it too. That's how it feels, there's no explanation of the menu. When I sat down, and when I ordered, I had to call a staff member every time I wanted to ask a question because I was using my smartphone. The staff in the hall didn't seem to be very proactive about their work. They were resting their elbows on the table and talking to each other. I didn't eat many different types, but the meat itself was delicious. However, I didn't feel the restaurant's passion for the menu (I don't know how delicious it was or what they were particular about; it seemed like the main focus was on freshly cooked rice rather than meat), so I don't think I'd want to go back.
