なになに？こちら柊のそばは最上級西会津のそば粉を使用した二八のこだわり蕎麦とある。
自宅と繋がり増設された蕎麦屋はテーブルが4宅程配置され板の間のお座敷空間はジャズが流れ落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出している。
この日は自分が真ん中のテーブルに案内され腰を下ろしているときに背向かい二人の女性客から過去の別れ話が耳に入る中、店内には「cry me a river」のボーカルジャズが悲しげに流れ、昼間から危うく吹き出しそうになる自分を抑えながら大盛りせいろを待つ。
厨房から「チャッ チャッ」と水切り音がしたら間もなく目の前に白みの強い艶感の高い蕎麦が到着した。何も浸けないで蕎麦を手繰ればコシが強めで噛むと甘味を感じる蕎麦だ。節と昆布の旨味を丁寧に抽出したそばつゆは旨味が強く、優しさを優先する味わい。自分はもう少し細麺だとそばつゆの拾い上げ感のバランスが好きかな？
いずれも美味しい蕎麦をいただき蕎麦湯で締めたらごちそうさまでした。
