Sunday, October 29th This is the last night shift of the month. Today is Sunday, and I will be visiting "shabu shabu and Japanese Cuisine Kisoji Tsukuba Branch," which is open all day on holidays and Sundays. Mitake-san, hazy in the rain... I can't help but remember Harada Yuri's "Kiso-ji no Onna." I remember as if it were yesterday how my junior A-kun, who I loved when I was a tour conductor, complained that he was made to sing by customers three times on a two-day, one-night bus trip lol. Arrived at 4pm♪ Even at this time, there were a few cars in the large parking lot... When I entered the store, a kimono-clad waiter greeted me. When I said, "I'm alone...", he said, "Please wait a moment." I waited while looking at the menu. However, even though there was a seat available, I was not shown to one at all (^◇^;) Precious time was wasted. It was a high-class restaurant and the waiter looked like he was well-trained, so what was wrong? In the end, I was shown to a different waiter (-_-;) I pulled myself together and looked at the menu again ♪ I was hoping they would have a good-value Sukiyaki meal, but unfortunately they didn't have any at this time of day, after lunchtime. After some hesitation... "Unagi Hitsumabushi Gozen Matsu" 4,950 yen including tax 120g of eel, unagi hitsumabushi, Small dish, unagi chawanmushi, uzaku, soup, condiments, broth, and pickles. It arrived in about 15 minutes ♪ I didn't have much time, so I ate it right away. First, I ate it as it was. I mixed it roughly with rice. Mmm, it's fragrant and the sansho pepper is effective and it's delicious (●´ω`●) Next, I added the condiments. Mmm, if you put some seaweed and wasabi on the green onion, you can enjoy a slightly different taste from before (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) For the third bowl, I had it as Ochazuke(boiled rice with tea). I put the condiments on top, poured the broth over it, and added some wasabi. Mmmm, it was a taste that gave me a sense of relief (*´Д`*) I was happy that the chawanmushi also had eel on it, and it also contained ginkgo nuts, giving it an incredibly gentle and smooth taste (๑>◡<๑) It was a shame that it wasn't liver soup, but I was able to enjoy the eel deliciously. Thank you for the meal. It was a consistently excellent taste, nothing amazing or outstanding, but the quality was worth the price. It seems to use domestic eel, and it was delicious.
