[Specialties] Authentic oden! Geta-style sashimi! Carefully selected sake!
A small oden restaurant with a warm atmosphere, "Toho Hanabi" ☆ Enjoy a fun time while watching 20 kinds of oden over the counter ♪ You should definitely try the "highball" made with a high-pressure c |
From Tsukuba Station on the Tsukuba Express in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture, head towards Ushiku along Gakuen Nishi O-dori, turn left at the intersection where Cafe Andersen is on the left corner, and go a little further and you will find this oden Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) on your left. We made a reservation by phone on the day and visited for two people around 8pm on a Saturday night. We took off our shoes and sat in the sunken kotatsu seats in the tatami room. We had 7 oden dishes, 3 types of geta (medium fatty tuna, bonito, and hairtail), cod pickled in sake lees, braised pork, salted fish, and 4 sake bottles (Aramasa Cosmos, Tenbi, Oshinshu, and Jikon). The total was about 16,000 yen. The oden, soaked in the excellent broth, is addictive. The sashimi was very fresh, and the braised pork was excellent. Overall, it was a selection of excellent dishes that went well with sake. This is a great place to enjoy oden and sashimi with fine sake. Thank you for the meal.
